RadiateLove - Review

This product is amazing and has helped to stop my eczema coming up over my hands!I have been using it at least once a day/sometimes more for about a month or two now. Most of the time I will slather this on my hands right before I go to sleep for the night.

Whats in this little pot of joy...?
It is just 100% fair-trade/organic Shea butter.

Personally I have never been a lover of the smell of anything that is Shea butter scented but this I love massively.

For 100grams of this product it costs £14.99
I think the price tag is reasonable for something fair-trade and that will last as long as this pot will!
The reason it will last a long time because its almost a solid moisturiser, which yes means that it feels slightly greasy on your skin for the first couple of minutes.
But when its all sank into your skin it leaves it feeling baby smooth.

This little pot of magic is the only thing I have changed in my handcare and I truly believe it will be the only moisturiser I use on my hands for a long time!

If you fancy trying this out then I have a 25% off Code that you can use!

If you try this product out then please comment below and let me know if you have!

Smashbox Event

Hello lovelys!
A couple of weeks ago I was very kindly invited to the Southampton Boots for a Smashbox beauty event!

The two Smashbox girls Katie and Jo offered cup cakes, drinks, makeovers and talked to us about all the new products that are coming out, and some of the most popular items too.

There were only a handful of us which was nice because it meant that we could all join in, chat and have fun without being excluded from each others conversations.
( Me, Jess, Alice, Brogan, Mandy, Ami)

The main thing we tried and spoke about at the event was the amazing new creamy contour sticks.
They come in a pack of three (contour, bronze, highlight) and cost £35.
I was a little bit put off by the price to start with but after swatching them and seeing how beautifully they feel and blend into the skin, I just had to treat myself to them!
I have a review and tutorial coming up on my youtube of these gorgeous new contour sticks so keep your eyes peeled!

We also tried out the new eyeliners and lipsticks and many other products!

As seen in the bottom photos of me and Alice I am wearing a gold eyeshadow that I put on in the morning, but one of the ladies put on the new lilac gel eyeliner over the top and I have completely fallen in love with it and I can't wait for it to come out in my local store!

I can't wait to go to more of these events and next time I do I will be sure to bring a camera rather than taking the photos on my iPhone.

If you don't already you can follow me on Instagram where I post photos every day. You can keep updated with all my blog posts, videos, events and more on Instagram.
(There is no harm in being nosy)

Current Favourite Foundation Combination : Review

If you watch my youtube then I am sure you will see these two foundations featured at the end of the month in my favourites video.
I love trying out new makeup and have heard a few good things about both of these foundations, so I thought hey lets give it a try!

The Loreal Infallible 24H foundation is a thick and almost gel like consistency. This means when I am wearing it gives me an amazing coverage and it really does last all day.
The Loreal True Match foundation is a much lighter and more of a liquid consistency.

So why do I use these together?
One of the reasons is that I simply bought the Infallible one in a shade too dark for me so I mix the two.
The other reason I mix the two is that it gives me full coverage without feeling too heavy on the skin, and it seems to keep my skin perfectly hydrated throughout the day.

The photos below really don't do it justice and I also have all my other makeup on aswell.

Before I get a million questions on what highlighter I use, I thought I would just quickly mention that everyday I wear my Charlotte Tilbury Contour kit and the highlighter is beautiful as well as the contour shade.

Have you got a favourite foundation I should try?

Smashbox Brand Review -

Some of you guys might know that I was kindly given some bits from Smashbox to try and review for you all.
I decided that I would turn this into a brand review after falling in love with the brand and a lot of their products.

Smashbox was launched in 1996 by the LA brothers Dean and Davis Factor who are the grandsons of the makeup legend Max.
This makeup brand is made for you to look your best under those bright studio lights when you're on shoot.

One of the first things they made was the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. It gives you a perfect canvas for applying foundation with its silky texture.
It also contains vitamins A and E, grape seed extract and green tea!
Worn under foundation or alone it is their best selling primer and really does reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores while it gives you that velvety finish.
Yeah its on the pricey side at £25 but I honestly believe it is worth every penny.

Next on the list is the Studio Skin hydrating foundation that claims to have 15 hour wear! This foundation is made to go along with the photo finish primer and will give you coverage that lasts even under studio lighting.
This stuff is amazing and I have successfully used up the whole thing. It's not often that I try a foundation that I don't just enjoy using but also finishing the whole thing!
Once again it is on the more pricy side at £28 but I can promise you that you get what you pay for with this beauty!

Moving on I decided to pair these two products together because they just work so well hand in hand.
The two products are the Full Exposure Mascara and the Limitless Liquid Liner.
The mascara lengthens my eyelashes beautifully and when built up it gives you that little bit of volume too.
If you watch me videos on youtube and have been asking me what mascara I have been using well its this bad boy!
The eyeliner is by far the best I have come across in all my makeup years so far!
It has an easy felt tip pen applicator and gives you a full dark black line and this won't smudge at all until you take it all off at the end of the day.

The last thing is the 24 Hour photo finish shadow primer.
If you know me I tend to just stick to my eyeliner and red lips combo but because of this product I am slowly starting to extend my day to day makeup routine.
This basically does what it says on the tin. It helps my eyeshadow stick to my eyelids without creasing at all.
If you are someone who enjoys to experiment with your eyeshadow then this is a need in your collection.

So whats my review on Smashbox...
Its fantastic and even though its pricey, it's so worth investing in and I will be buying more soon.
Out of everything I will 100% be buying the foundation, photo finish primer and the eyeliner again!

Nashy Masterful Collection - Review ://

So I am always on the hunt for some new makeup brushes and was kindly sent this beautiful set by Nashy to try and review for you all!

These brushes have synthetic bristles and are 100% Vegan, aswell as being completely cruelty free and approved by Peta; as some of you know I am a big animal lover, so when I am looking at new brushes this is something that appeals to me.

I love the stylish yet simple look of these brushes and of course not forgetting the amazing quality of them.
They come in a nice sturdy box and there are a complete set of 12.

The bottom two photos are my favourite brushes from this whole set.
I found when using these brushes they pick up the ideal amount of product, unlike a lot of cheaper brands available.
They blend perfectly into my skin without any streaks, or any of the bristles falling out.

My favourite brushes from this set are -

  • The Stippling Brush
  • The Contouring Brush
  • The Crease Brush
  • The Blending Brush
  • The Pencil Brush
Overall I am completely in love with this brush set; they are now my go to brushes whenever I do my makeup.
I really do highly recommend these brushes and are so worth the money!

The WOW Mask :// Review

So I was kindly sent the WOW mask to try out and do a review on and I have to say I was surprised when I used this Mask!

This mask claims to do many things :

  • Soothe Irritated Skin
  • Provide a lifting effect
  • Reduces dynamic and fine wrinkles and signs of ageing
  • Lightens skin and reduces hyper pigmentation
  • Gives deep skin hydration and moisture
  • Restores your skins natural elasticity and tone
  • Reduces puffiness and redness

There is one downside to this product, it is £99.99 for a pack of 5.
So because of the price and everything it claims to do I really was expecting this product to WOW me and its safe to say it did!

When I opened the packet I was surprised when I saw the weird silicone texture of the sheet mask!
I opened the packet and took out the top section of the mask and peeled off the plastic sheets and placed it on my face.
I have to say you do need to fiddle around with this mask trying to stop it slipping down your face.
The mask its self is pretty big and I found it hard to fit my face without it creasing and slipping down my face.

After I applied the mask I left it for the full 40 minutes and let it do its magic!

It felt really nice on my skin and had a kind of cooling effect which made my skin feel refreshed.
When I was sat waiting and drinking my cup of tea it made me feel nice and relaxed.

After taking this mask off my skin felt fresh, plump and so soft!
I honestly feel like this mask massively helped the redness on my face and some how managed to help to reduce the colour of the scaring.
And it made my skin look nice and bright, like I have had a spar treatment!

Overall I love this product and although its out my price range it would make a good present for someone that likes the idea of a spar treatment but in their own home.

My Little Box :// Review

So its review time again!
I was kindly sent a My Little Box by one of the team to help kick star my new year.
I have tried a few different types of beauty boxs in the past and this one seems to really stand out to me.
The box it comes in is a nice big size and is full to the brim with items.

What I really like about this brand of beauty box is the fact that they have a theme for every month so far, hopefully they will keep up to that standard.

If you haven't guessed already this box is called the 'Energy Box' so obviously its going to have items to help your skin and get you feeling fresh for the new year.

So the first things in my box were a My little box magazine, the photography in this little booklet was great.
I also got a little Happy New year card and a diary for 2015.

So lets get onto the important items in this box!

The biggest thing in this box was the gym bag, its gorgeous but I still have yet to use it, but I am planning on starting Zumba soon so I am sure I will find a use for it then.

I also got a little fabric bag with a couple of cosmetic items in it.

The first thing I got was this gorgeous deep, red wine colour by Nails Inc in the colour Tate, as a brand of nail varnish it only needs a couple of coats and lasts a week without chipping too much.
I also received a hydrating moisturiser by Talika, this isn't a brand that I have heard of before but the product dose seem nice.
The next item is I think the favourite items in my box.
It is a emerging face and body mist, it has a fresh lemon sent to it and is packed with vitamin C which is known for amazing toning properties.
It also has a little bit of green tea in it which we all know is so good for you.

So this is defiantly one of the best beauty boxes on the market and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is wanting to try one of these.
All the products are what I believe is full sized, and are 100% worth the money.
I can't wait to try another one of these lovely boxes!

If you have tried one then comment below and let me know what you thought of it, or if you are going to try one tweet me at @saliorsarah and let me know what you thought of it!
